Sony’s Ultraportable Projector is a TV you can carry anywhere
At the IFA 2015 press event, Sony introduced to the world its ultraportable projector which is a TV that could be carried anywhere. The device can project images in the size range of 20 to 50 inches on any flat surface unlike traditional displays. It uses short throw technology. The projector should be placed just one foot from the surface you want to use as a display and project a viewable image without any distortion or shadows. The device can be used in a wide variety of situations due to its miniature stature, portability, and short operating distance.
The device can be controlled using a companion smartphone app and it has a built-in speaker and a rechargeable internal battery. During the demo presentation at IFA, Sony showed that the device can be used as a bedroom TV, a digital photo display, and for an impromptu backyard family movie night. Educators will find this device to be of great usage especially for those who teach outside typical classroom settings.
The device is most likely to hit the market in Spring 2016.
