Tech Mahindra Limited is a provider of networking technology solutions and business support services (BPO) to the telecommunications industry.

An epitome of class and services, Tech Mahindra is a part of founder Anand Mahindra’s Mahindra Group conglomerate that is headquartered at Mumbai, India.

Created as a joint venture of Mahindra & Mahindra and British Telecommunications (later BT Group) n 1986, the company got its present name only in 2006.

With offices in more than fifty countries, the company’s activities spread across a wide array of services, including Business Support Systems (BSS), Operations Support Systems (OSS), Network Design & Engineering, Next Generation Networks, Mobility Solutions, Security consulting and Testing, Consulting, Application Development & Management, Network Services, Solution Integration, Product Engineering, Infrastructure Managed Services, Remote Infrastructure Management and BSG (comprising of BPO, Services and Consulting).

Tech Mahindra was granted the ISO 9009 certification in 1994 and incorporated MBT GmbH, Germany incorporated and earned Re-certification to ISO 9001:1994 in 2001. The company further went on to incorporate MBT Software Technologies Pte. Limited, Singapore in 2002 and later in 2005, signed a merger agreement with MBT with Axes Technologies (India) Private Limited, including its US and Singapore subsidiaries.

The company is always in news, be it fortnightly or monthly or yearly or maybe even daily!

After getting renamed as Tech Mahindra Limited in 2006, the company acquired iPolicy Networks Private Limited in 2007 and launched the Tech M Foundation to address the needs of the underprivileged in the society.

The year 2009 saw various episodes of the Satyam scams and frauds and 2009 and the company bid a higher stake than its rival Larsen & Toubro and got Satyam Computer Services at Rs 58.90 per share and subsequently rebranded the company as Mahindra Satyam.

The company has ever since kept on acquiring sufficient capital and resources and made it possible to acquire Hutchison Global Services and vCustomer BPO in 2012 along with a 51% stake in Comviva.2012.

Catering to the needs of Aerospace, Aftermarket,, Agribusiness, Automotive Components, Construction Equipment, Consulting Services, Defense, Energy, Farm Equipment, Financial Services, Industrial Equipment, Information Technology Services, Leisure & Hospitality, Logistics, Real Estate and Retail sectors,Tech Mahindra acquired Sweden-based Type Approval Lab, a part of Sony Mobile Communication’s internal test function lab, the company’s first European test centre lab in 2013.

Ranked as India’s number 5th software services firm and overall 111th in Fortune India’s 500 list for 2012, Tech Mahindra completed its merger with Mahindra Satyam in 2013 and the merged entity is now known as Tech Mahindra Ltd.
