Cloud is the latest trend. The Amazon Web Service is launching yet another product that can assist the spy agencies in America. The secret cloud for CIA is called as Amazon Web Services Secret Region, a cloud storage service designed to handle classified information for U.S. spy agencies. The introduction of the AWS Secret Region for the U.S. intelligence community comes six years after Amazon announced a cloud data center region for public-sector customers. The recent innovation has again helped the company to get sign up large companies to use its cloud.
With the Secret Region, Amazon can handle the data and software which are at the ‘secret’ level which is right below the ‘top secret’ level. The "region" in the new service's name is Amazon's term for a data center. The Secret Region will be just one among many regions Amazon operates as part of its AWS supercomputing cloud. Also the company has already announced the availability of the product to non – intelligence government agencies, assuming they file the right paperwork. With the launch of this new Secret Region, AWS becomes the first and only commercial cloud provider to offer regions to serve government workloads across the full range of data classifications, including Unclassified, Sensitive, Secret, and Top Secret. By using the cloud, the U.S. Government is better able to deliver necessary information and data to mission stakeholders. Cloud will be the next big thing in the world of secret datasets and workloads.
