“Search what you see”. This was the idea behind the launch of Google’s Pixel 2 and 2 XL. With free unlimited storage for all the photos, it stands as one among the highest rated smartphones. But it has had a handful of annoying bugs since its launch and now the bugs are preventing the Google assistant from being used over Bluetooth headphones. It appears to be happening across many different brands of headphones.
Google assistant can be launched in the phone just with the squeeze of a hand. The problem occurs when you try to talk to the Google Assistant while wearing Bluetooth headphones with a microphone. It can be activated with a tap, but the microphone seems to go mute. This restricts the way in which commands can be given to the Google assistant. Even though the problem has been going on since October the Android Police has recently called attention to it. This seems to be a concerning matter to Google as the Google Assistant is being used by almost all the people and people are more reliant on it. This can also hinder the popularity of the Google’s own headphones ‘Pixel buds’ which is soon to be launched.
