The uber cool VSCO image editing app is launching its first ever Video Editing Tool

A celebrity endorsed mobile application; an app quite well-known among photographers where you can easily edit images with its numerous film-inspired filters and pro image tools is stepping into a new version by initiating a new video editing tool now.

The new VSCO takes advantage of SENS, the company’s proprietary real-time image processor, and supports all iOS video formats up to 30 FPS at 3k and 60 FPS at 1080 or below without any size or length restrictions. Once you are done with the application of numerous tools and filters and satisfied with the outcome, you can share the result across any social media platform.

Though the picture editing tool was available both in iOS and Android as a free application, the video editing tool is not available to everyone who has the VSCO app pre-installed; the new tool will be rolled out to paid “VSCO X” members only. The VSCO X is the new annual membership service, which will charge users $19.99 per year for those who want to avail the app’s features.

“VSCO’s mission is to help people become better creators, and video is a creative frontier we’re increasingly passionate about and focused on,” explains VSCO co-founder and CEO Joel Flory. “Video editing for VSCO X members is a first step into what we see a limitless possibilities for video editing tools on VSCO.” With a smirk in their faces, VSCO has announced that initially it will be available to VSCO X members only on iOS, ahead of its launch on Android.
