IBM will drive digital transformation through its Salesforce consulting arm, Bluewolf

After the acquisition of Bluewolf in 2016, IBM has now launched the Salesforce consulting agency in India to drive digital transformation initiatives and customer experience locally in the country. IBM will use Bluewolf’s delivery capabilities and its own expertise in cognitive and design-thinking to deliver Salesforce’s solutions on verticals like telecom, utilities and financial services. “Giving developers the ability to integrate IBM Watson services into Salesforce will combine insights from unstructured data inside or outside an enterprise and customer data delivered by Salesforce Einstein to enable smarter, faster decisions across sales, service, marketing, commerce and more”, said Lula Mohanty, Managing Partner, GBS, IBM.

IBM hopes to significantly increase the customer base for the Salesforce practice in the coming years as government agencies and enterprises in the country undertake various digital transformation initiatives to drive business. The company will also offer quick on-boarding and comprehensive solutions to meet the requirements of small and medium enterprises. Lula also mentioned, “We see a huge opportunity to help companies in their digital transformation. We have already trained about 400- 500 people in the Bluewolf practice and will further scale that up.”

Additionally, IBM is setting up Bluewolf Garages dedicated to different partner environments and segments, sandboxes, and cloud platforms which will also focus on developing new capabilities for clients in India and other markets. Sunil Jose, Salesforce India SVP, said that the launch of Bluewolf in India will enable organizations to leverage Salesforce’s artificial intelligence-powered solutions and focus on making intelligent choices.
