Even though Xiaomi rarely makes its way outside of China and India, it has a great value and the recent entry of Xiaomi Mi A1, the best Android One device to date has proved it. Back in 2016, Xiaomi's Mi Mix arguably kicked off people’s obsession with bezel-less designs. In 2017, Xiaomi launched an even more gorgeous Mi Mix 2 and now the Chinese smartphone giant is reportedly working on a new follow-up; a more refined version that's said to pack some seriously impressive features under its hood – the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S
According to the maestros of Android, XDA Developers, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is definitely in the works and will be armed by the upcoming Qualcomm's fastest processor to date, Snapdragon 845 chipset. Based on some of the exclusive phone wallpapers collected by the site, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is expected to game an FHD+ (2160 x 1080) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a 3,400mAh battery. Also, this killer phone is expected to run on Android Oreo right out of the box and is said to boast similar AI-based scene recognition camera features as the Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro.
How about the Price?
Well, Xiaomi's phones have always been surprisingly affordable. And the when Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 was available for around $575 and can be picked up for even less now, it is expected that this upgraded version will also launch at the same price point.
So, when we consider that the Mi Mix 2S could flaunt a marvelous chipset as well as other features that present it as a cheaper substitute to the iPhone X and the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9, a price point like that would be mighty tempting.
For now, the final release date is still a mystery. But hopefully, we will know more about the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S in the lead up to its official announcement.
