The English businesswoman and author, Cath Kidston has launched “Colour” QR codes in collaboration with Pinterest to enable the customers to explore the inspiration behind the new accessories collection Colour by Cath Kidston. The collaboration integrates Pinterest’s visual Lens with QR codes.
Pinterest, the app that helps people discover and do what they love, launched it Lens feature earlier this year as new way to seek ideas using the phone’s camera. This innovative technology lets people to take a photo of anything that inspires and get recommendations for similar kind of objects and ideas.
Cath will be bringing the collection of new season pieces in 68 Cath Kidston store. The “Colour” QR code is featured on the swing tag of each bag, which takes customers to a Pinterest board showing style and other inspiring images. According to Cath Kidston, this will help customer to make better purchase decisions.
“Being the first UK retailer to use Pinterest Lens with QR code in-store is really exciting for us. By enriching the customer shopping experience, ‘Colour’ QR codes will help us to have a dialogue with our customers during the decision making process both at retail and online,” said Sue Chidler, Marketing director of Cath Kidston.
To avail this amazing feature, customers simply need to tap the Lens icon on the Pinterest app and hover over a “Colour” QR code to find more ideas and information.
