“At ACN, we can officially say ‘If it’s on, you get paid!’ and that is very exciting for us”: ACN INC

thesiliconreview-greg-provenzano-president-acn-inc-17Small businesses that want to provide customers with a professional touch shouldn’t have to pay an arm and a leg, and with ACN, they don’t have to. ACN meets the ever-changing needs of small businesses by offering a complete line of essential services, including phone service, natural gas and electricity, and simple and affordable credit card processing. Services are tailored for a company’s individual needs and are designed to grow right along with the business.

The Founding

Founded in 1993, ACN was the vision of four entrepreneurs - Greg Provenzano, Robert Stevanovski, Tony Cupisz and Mike Cupisz. These Co-Founders had countless years of direct sales experience between them, but were dissatisfied with other companies and job opportunities they had encountered. They realized that the only way to find a company they wanted to be a part of was to create that company.

So with a yellow legal pad in front of them, they formulated a business plan. On one side of the page they wrote down everything that they knew worked well, and on the other side everything that didn’t. They ripped the page in half and only kept the side that contained what would become the governing principles behind ACN - integrity, solid business practices, and a commitment to always putting the needs of the masses above the needs of themselves.

From that initial paper, a business idea was born that would focus on offering services people need and use every day… services that wouldn’t require anyone to change their buying habits or purchase products they didn’t need or couldn’t afford.

Over two decades, this is how it goes

ACN began as a reseller of long distance services in the U.S., but over time has grown to offer the entire essential services customers in 25 countries use on a daily basis. ACN is the world’s largest direct seller of telecommunications, energy and essential services for home and business, but more importantly, they’ve provided a vehicle for countless individuals to change their lives. ACN is passionate about giving back to the community as well, and in 2011 the nonprofit organization ACN Global Reach Charities was founded to expand and enhance their charitable efforts.

With that single column on a legal pad, the ACN Co-Founders drew a proverbial line that would set the bar for what ACN would become - and remain long into the future. And those are the same principles that drive the company today, over two decades later.

Simplicity is the trademark in ACN business model

The best part about the ACN business model is its simplicity - and the potential! Independent Business Owners (IBOs) offer their customers services they are already using and spending money on anyway through their very own, personalized ACN Direct Online Store, services such as phone service, wireless, gas and electricity, merchant services, high speed internet, home security and automation, television - and more. There is no change in buying habits and IBOs don’t have to convince customers to purchase services they don’t need or can’t afford.

Whether it is residential or Business, it is a service afterall

Residential Services: People are already using the services ACN offers every day, so there’s no need to convince them to buy. All IBOs need to do is direct customers to their online store, and allow them to make the decision to switch to a smarter way of getting home services.

Business services: Small businesses that want to provide customers with a professional touch shouldn’t have to pay an arm and a leg, and with ACN, they don’t have to. ACN meets the ever-changing needs of small businesses by offering a complete line of essential services, including phone service, natural gas and electricity, and simple and affordable credit card processing. Services are tailored for a company’s individual needs and are designed to grow right along with the business.

The circle of champions

The best-of-the-best in ACN, those who have dedicated the time and effort it takes to reach the pinnacle of success in our company, are referred to as the Circle of Champions. This group consists of the top producers and money earners at ACN. They are selected on an annual basis, at the beginning of each year.

Making an Impact: Simon Abboud, Circle of Champions Member

As a way to make money during school, Simon began working for a direct selling company. While the company lacked leadership, vision and integrity in his opinion, it made Simon appreciate the opportunities that came with combining direct selling and telecommunications. When a top producer for ACN offered him the chance to meet the ACN Co-Founders, Simon jumped at the chance. “What appealed to me was the possibility of real residual income.” Since joining the ACN family, Simon now teaches others how to maximize their own capabilities by acquiring customers. He attributes his success to being coachable, distancing himself from negative people, keeping the end result in mind, and having specific goals that are both short-term and long-term. “I try never to think of what I will do next week or next month, but always today,” he said. “That has always helped me get closer to my long term goals.”

The visionary behind

Greg Provenzano, President and Co-Founder: Greg Provenzano has a deep commitment to personal growth, and he inspires others to work on their personal lives as hard as they work on their businesses. Greg is a leader and motivator to ACN’s independent business owners. He shares the company’s vision with them, as well as ways to improve their businesses and their lives. Greg communicates with independent business owners daily, encouraging them and helping them stay focused on their goals.

“At ACN, we have one goal: to provide outstanding service and support to our Independent Business Owners and their customers”
