With the parent company initiating new features, offspring will follow the lead.

A joint attempt by the family of Facebook is going to happen: Facebook, Messenger and Instagram are co-operating a new feature where notification from the other apps will appear and immediately you can switch between them. This way the feature entailed in the social platform can help in boosting fascination ‘by using those maddening apps.’ So if you miss or disengage an alert when you first receive it, or say you didn’t get the notification popped in your screen, you will still see that red number in the corner that shall be inviting your attention.

For social bee it’s a bonus point, undoubtedly. But for passive explorer, it’s a bit annoying to keep on seeing the red dot implying unread notification or news feeds.

“We are conducting a very small test to make it easier for people to discover and connect with the people and things they care about. We’re exploring ways to help people switch more easily between their Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram accounts,” Facebook confirmed.

A tactic used by Facebook to leverage the amount of time users spend on these three apps to supersede the users operating systems and nag people to keep up with the platforms and stay more active in the Facebook’s family app.
