To nurture the tech talent, China is all set to come up with a national AI plan

siliconreview To nurture the tech talent, China is all set to come up with a national AI plan

In their efforts to cultivate tech talent as part of a soon to announced national AI plan, China will commence a series of artificial intelligence (AI) projects, according to reports by China Daily, citing senior official.

The move towards focusing on AI by China is seen as a tool to enhance efficiency and allow employees, the paper said. China will roll out a skid of AI research and development projects, allot more resources to development talent and augment the use of AI in education, healthcare and security among other things, said Wan Gang, the minister of science and technology at a conference in Tianjin.

Wan goes on saying that the plan will soon be released to the public. China will construct cooperation with international AI organizations and cheer foreign AI firms in order to set up research and development centers in the country, he added.

In the earlier reported reports, it was said that for the companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple and possibly Samsung, artificial intelligence is roughly the buzzword in the smartphone space as well. But as these systems get more influential and start to do more, there is a need to make sure that they are not used by strict command and then target certain populations.
