Want to Cool Down Your Over-heated Smartphone? Chevrolet Gives You Air-conditioner for That

Technology has surely come a long way and Chevrolet has taken it to the next level by introducing personal air conditioner for overheated smartphones. This US-based automobile giant has innovated the smartphone cool-air emitter “Active Phone Cooling” for improving performance and battery life of the smartphones. It is connected to the car’s air conditioning and ventilation system.

According to USA report, this idea came to the company’s mind as it is a real problem to charge the smartphone while in the car as it gets too hot in the car when the car interiors heat up on a sunny day.

“Over time, regular overheating can do permanent damage to the lithium ion batteries that power our smartphones. I always recommend keeping your phone in a cool, ventilated place, where it can stay at a comfortable room temperature, whether it’s charging or discharging.” – Jeffrey Van Camp, deputy editor of Digital Trends

It is basically a cold air vent that chills out the phone after putting it on a little tray below the dashboard. This new Active Phone Cooling will be available from 2016 and will initially be available for models like Impala, Malibu, Volt and Cruze which are equipped with wireless charging. Now people can easily listen to music while driving and take hands-free calls on the road.

According to Chevrolet, we are all living with the industry-first technology and they believe that this innovation is no doubt a much simpler, clearer and neater solution for the over-heated smartphones inside the cars.
