Citrix provides server, application and desktop virtualization, networking, software as a service (SaaS), and cloud computing technologies and is expected to deliver a unique streamlined application and virtual desktop infrastructure solution. Nutanix Acropolis is a turnkey infrastructure platform that delivers enterprise-class storage, compute, and native virtualization services to run nearly any application. The joined platform offers an employee friendly VDI solution. The Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) refers to the process of running a user desktop inside a virtual machine that lives on a server in the datacenter. The Citrix – Nutanix VDI solution can assist the customers in streamlining management and costs by consolidating and centralizing the desktops while delivering end-users mobility and the freedom to access virtual desktops anytime, from anywhere, on any device. This gives the necessary tools that can assist in workplace management. The implementation of VDI has always been a difficult task for many of the customers. But there has to be a better way always and that is one reason the teaming up has gained much popularity.
