The tech giant Apple has finally decided to break off two of its iconic music players, the iPod Nano and the iPod Shuffle. The news was confirmed by the tech firm to more than a few websites in an official statement. As both the models are unavailable now, on the brighter side, Apple has come up with new storage deviation of its existing iPod Touch.
The iPod Nano and the iPod Touch termination came just after the discontinuation of the iPod Classic. Apple has detached both the MP3 players from its website, making the Touch last man standing in the series. Although these players have been abruptly removed from the website, it may still be obtainable with third-party retailers.
It is value adding that the giant Apple previously updated its iPod Nano and iPod shamble with new colors back in 2015. However, in requisites of redesigning, iPod Nano didn't see any modify since 2012 while the scuffle was left intact since 2010.
The iPod hobble initial strike the market back in 2005 and was one of the first MP3 models to come with flash storage. But, the iPod Nano came later in the same year.
Though, Apple has updated its iPod Touch lineup with two new models with more storage.
"Today, we are simplifying our iPod lineup with two models of iPod touch now with double the capacity starting at just $199 and we are discontinuing the iPod shuffle and iPod nano," said the Apple spokesperson to Bloomberg. The iPod Touch at present comes with 64GB inbuilt storage at $199 and with 128GB storage at $299. There is no word as to when these new alternative will hit the Indian market. The iPod Touch is also one of the devices that will get iOS 11 later this year.
