Falcon Heavy has completed its first stage testing

One of the world’s biggest manufacturers and designer of rockets, SpaceX has announced that the world’s most powerful rocket, falcon Heavy has completed its first stage testing.

Falcon Heavy, previously known as Falcon 9 Heavy, is reusable super heavy lift space launch vehicle designed and manufactured by SpaceX. According to SpaceX “Falcon Heavy can lift more than twice the payload of the next closest operational vehicle, the Delta IV Heavy, at one-third the cost.” Falcon Heavy could carry up to 37,000 pounds of cargo and crew to the Mars. “Falcon Heavy’s 3 first stage cores have all completed testing at our rocket development facility in McGregor, TX,” said SpaceX in a tweet.

The first stage of Falcon Heavy is composed of three Falcon 9 nine-engine cores whose 27 Merlin engines together generate more than 5 million pounds of thrust at liftoff, equal to approximately eighteen 747 aircraft. Only the Saturn V moon rocket, last flown in 1973 delivered more payloads to orbit.

It needs a landing craft either carrying or capable of making fuel for the return-trip, as well as supplies for astronauts in order to get there in one trip.

Back in 2011, Elon Musk said that it would fly by 2013, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. The Falcon Heavy has faced lot of delays. So this year, in 2017 the world is showing a passionate intensity for the launch of Falcon Heavy this November.
