Facebook to go on the offensive with LinkedIn with new recruitments
The Silicon Review
08 October, 2018

Facebook is all set to expand into the territory of interviews and recruitments with some newly acquired talent, from another company. Refdash is a startup that specializes in providing necessary practice for users to score well in coding interviews. It gives programmers very fast and adequate feedback about their performance in mock coding interviews. The results would later be shared with a number of potential employers to help the programmers get into the right company that would help in professional growth.

It now seems that Facebook has its eyes on the new and potentially massive market for quality interview assessments. The social networking giant has just poached some of the senior executives from Refdash to work on its own Jobs feature that lets companies post job vacancies which users can apply for. Facebook had launched this feature last year but chose to focus largely on promoting vacancies for service-oriented jobs. But with the new talent from Refdash now onboard, the social media behemoth might give LinkedIn a run for its money. An added advantage for Facebook is its existing base of over a billion users globally and its position as a massive advertisements and media platform.

The new feature will definitely allow recruiters to find the right fit for a particular job opening and also make interviews easier for candidates, given the discretion and feedback involved.
