Bring Scenes to Life: Now Post 3D Photographs on Facebook

Social media giant, Facebook has completely transformed the way people used to interact on the internet. And with its new feature — 3D Photos, Facebook is all set to mark its worth in the photo sharing space.

Facebook 3D Photos is an all-new way to share your memories and moments with a fun, lifelike dimension in your Facebook News Feed. Apart from the fact that 3D images look really cool, the thing that excites the users more is that this new technology doesn’t need any special equipment — all it requires is a compatible smartphone. Also, instead of creating any fancy, fly-through image, the feature uses parallax effects to create anillusion of depth.

“Whether it’s a shot of your pet, your friends, or a beautiful scene from your last vacation — just click a photo in the Portrait mode using your compatible dual-lens smartphone, and share as a 3D photo on Facebook where you can scroll, pan, and tilt to see the photo in realistic 3D—like you’re looking through a window,” says Facebook in a Facebook360 post.

Facebook has already started the rollout of the feature, and soon — over the coming weeks — everyone with a compatible phone will be able to use the all-new 3D photos feature.
