Netflix to Add a New Animated Series Based On World War II

Netflix, an online streaming platform, will include a new series in its animated series roster. The announcement was made public on Thursday.

The story of the new series, The Liberator, is all about a World War II infantry regiment’s journey throughout the European sub-continent, where the soldiers end up liberating a German concentration camp.

Jeb Stuart, the screenwriter of the movies Die Hard and The Fugitive fame will develop and write about The Liberator. The directorial duty will be carried by Jonkajtys, a Polish screenwriter and the production will be jointly handled by Unique Features, A+E studious and School of Human.

The series is divided into four different parts and will be produced with Trioscope, a hybrid animation process which involves cutting-edge technology that combines both live-action performance and CGI.

Jonkajtys will direct all the four parts of the series and both Crowley and Jonkajtys will be the executive producers for the project. Apart from Stuart, Jonkajtys,and Crowley, other executive producers for the project include Michael Lynne, Bob Shaye and Sarah Victor of Unique Features along with Mark Apen and Brandon Barr( School of Humans), and Barry Jossen from A+E  Studious.  The co-producer will be Author Kershaw.

The Trioscope was created by Jonkajtys and L.C. Crowley. History channel initially created the Liberator. It is the first project of A+E Studious which is landed at Netflix.

The release date of the series has not been revealed yet.
