Microsoft to Launch an “Intelligent Collaborative Programme” in India

Microsoft will start an “Intelligent Collaborative Programme” in India for a period of three years. The move by the software giant will empower institutes across the country to brush up students in the field of AI and cloud technologies. The announcement was made public on Thursday.

As per Microsoft, the committed AI set-up and IoT hub programme will train selected research and higher education institutes with AI infrastructure and prepare curriculum and capable teachers to train students in cloud technologies and AI.

With the new initiative, India will become the first nation to get such a world-class programme. Under the initiative, Microsoft will provide support to institutions with onsite training for teachers and students, good-in-class infrastructure, syllabus,and content. The participating students will be able to use AI and cloud services, developmental tools and support.

Apart from the initiative, the company will also offer its AI developmental tools and Azure AI services like Bot services, Microsoft cognitive learning,and Azure ML.

The company will conduct development workshops to train students and teachers in order to develop their expertise and skills in IoT, AI, cloud computing and data sciences.

The teachers will be assisted by the company in strategizing content and syllabus for project-based and experimental learning.

Earlier in April, Microsoft launched its Professional Programme (MPP) for the public.  The programme trains engineers in developing job-ready skills and providing real-world experience. While for others, the program will master their skills in the field of AI and data science through a series of online courses.
