Switch Gamers May Be Affected This Week: Nintendo Switch Online Servers Down For Maintenance
The Silicon Review
21 Febuary, 2018

A bad news for all Switch game fanatics - Nintendo once again is performing maintenance on its Switch servers. The maintenance will take place over the next few days and may affect various games and services. So, Nintendo Switch owners may find some trouble using some of the console's online features for this period of time.

The first round of the server maintenance has already taken place on February 20. Nintendo is not specifically mentioning which games and services will be impacted during the maintenance period, except that online features for some titles may become unavailable. According to Nintendo, “while no specific games have been singled out, it is safe to assume that online titles like Splatoon 2 could be impacted.”

The second round of maintenance is also done and was specifically for Minecraft. The maintenance began at 9 PM PT / 12 AM ET (Feb 20) and ran until 10:30 PM PT / 1:30 AM ET. During this window of time, all network services for the game were unavailable.

The third maintenance is scheduled to take place on February 21 and this round will last a little longer than the previous two. It will start at 8:50 PM and will run until midnight PT. This will also impact online play for some unspecified titles.

One more round of maintenance will be done on Monday, February 26. This round is scheduled to begin from 5-7 PM PT and will impact the Eshop - specifically players' ability to use credit cards to make purchases.
