Google is likely to ban all cryptocurrency related ads
The Silicon Review
16 March, 2018

Tech giant, Google is imposing a strict ban on all cryptocurrency related advertising. This ban will be effective from June 2018. And the company will no longer grant ads which will feature cryptocurrency related content which includes: initial coin offerings (IOCs), wallets and trading advice across any type of ad platform.

This also implies that even organizations with true blue cryptographic money offerings won't be permitted to serve promotions through any of Google's advertisement items, which are publicizing ads through local sites as well as third-party sites.

This move by Google is very similar to the approach that Facebook took in January where they banned all cryptocurrency ads. While the digital money blast has delivered a great deal of excitement and riches, it has also brought forth innumerable prominent scams.Google said, in 2017 the firm took down more than 3.2 billion ads that outraged its policies, that is nearly double the 1.7 billion ads removed the year before.

Under Google's recently refreshed budgetary items approach, no ads for “cryptographic forms of money and related substance (counting yet not restricted to introductory coin offerings, digital money trades, digital currency wallets, and digital currency exchanging counsel” will be acknowledged.

According to a report, Scott Spencer, the Director of Sustainable Ads at Google told, “We don't have a crystal ball to know where the future is going to go with cryptocurrencies, but we've seen enough consumer harm or potential for consumer harm that it's an area that we want to approach with extreme caution.
