Monzo Bank: The new money transfer feature is here

There is good news for the people living in the UK. A lot of startups have been functioning in the country but here is Monzo, the challenger bank company has introduced a new feature to provide seamless banking experience for its customers. Known as ‘Nearby Friends’, the new feature will now allow people to transfer or pay money for their nearby friends through the Bluetooth.

Customers don’t have to keep the other person’s phone number to carry out transactions; they just need to add nearby people to the Bluetooth search.

Monzo has gone popular due to the bank’s friend to friend payments solutions that offer more flexibility in the recent time. According to the firm, the challenger bank is created in such a way that the services will be more beneficial than other traditional banks offer. Furthermore, ‘Nearby Friends’ operates via Google Nearby, an app designed to find or discover, connect and transfer data with nearby devices regardless of the phone’s network.

“Thanks to the magic of Bluetooth, you can see anyone else that uses Monzo nearby. To protect people’s privacy, you’ll only find people who also have the feature open at the same time. With just a couple of taps, you can send people money, without the need to swap numbers or do any other admin,” says, Andy Smart, iOS Platform Lead at Monzo.
