Google Home and Home Mini launched in India

Google Home and Home Mini launched in India
The Silicon Review
11 April, 2018

Google debuted its Pixel line up back in October 2016, along with the smartphone itself many other accessories were released, like the DayDream VR, Google Home etc. Although the phone was released to the global market, the accessories barely made it across the Atlantic.

Now after almost two years of waiting, Google has finally decided to release its Home and Home Mini in the Indian Sub-Continent. Google announced on April 10th about the launch of Google Home and Home Mini in India, two devices that bring the best out of artificial-intelligence to your home via voice activated commands.

As per the Vice President of Product Management, Rishi Chandra, Google Home, the device is capable of understanding Indian accents, and will respond to with uniquely Indian contexts.

Further, he added that Google Assistant will work free of hiccups across all devices. Google Home Mini is sleek and smooth, with no corners or edges and it is small enough to be placed easily about anywhere in the home. It's almost entirely enclosed in a custom fabric.

It's durable, soft, and also transparent enough to allow both light and sound pass through it. There are four LED lights under the fabric that glow to show users when it has heard them or when it's thinking.

Mini has far-field microphones so it is able to hear even when there's music playing or a loud noise in the background, it can project a 360 sound, thanks to its circular design, with just one speaker.
