Plexus creates VR integrated gloves for Gaming
The Silicon Review
22 June, 2018

Plexus is not far from reaching closer to an ideal digital reality with their latest launch of VR gloves. They believe they can overcome the conventional gaming controls like the keyboard and mouse and focus instead on a more realistic design for games that involve functions like driving or first-person shooting. They believe that the addition of gloves in VR will bring a sort of finesse to the Gaming Experience.

These gloves are made of silicon and are designed in a very effective manner with Velcro straps to secure the gloves at your palm. The sensors detect the position of your hand movements with the help of magnetic trackers essentially wiring this message to the gaming system. The design of the gloves makes it easier to navigate through the game.

Most of the work has gone into the development of the physical structure of the gloves while the software is yet to be completed with regards to its motion latency which ideally means the time taken to display a particular command on the screen of your VR headset.

With quite a few competitors like Oculus already existing in the hand-tracking tech scenario, Plexus has got to stay at the top of their game in order to make a place for themselves with their product. Recently, Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook CEO wrote, “We’re working on new ways to bring your hands in virtual and augmented reality. Wearing these gloves, you can draw, type on a virtual keyboard, and even shoot webs like Spider-Man. That’s what I’m doing here”.
