SolarWinds’s recent acquisition to foster Cloud Security

SolarWinds has recently acquired Trusted Metrics, a real-time threat monitoring, and management company. This adds up to the SolarWinds’s list of acquisition. The aim of the recent acquisition is to encourage cloud security. Under the merger, SolarWinds will release a new security product under its own name.

Cloud technologies are the need of the hour for any organization and their cloud initiatives are getting more complex day by day.  In such a situation, the security factor becomes increasingly important. Security is extremely important skill employees need to know today. “Remember, the best application providers and data centers have large, dedicated security teams who have implemented automated threat monitoring systems that operate 24x7”, wrote Srivats Ramaswami, CTO at 42Q in his publication.  This acquisition is an achievement for the company as it understands the need for automated systems for security.

Utilising the Trusted Metrics’s skills, the new product going to be launched will collect plenty of data sources, and correlate it with the threat intelligence to identify any danger signal. According to Kevin Thompson, CEO of SolarWinds, the acquisition will allow them to offer powerful, easy to use products to protect IT and business operations.
