Telecom Square, a Japanese commercial company has announced about the launch of its new AR navigation application. The announcement was made public today.

Dubbed as PinnAR, the app is designed to help people to navigate to their desired destinations, which can be used while travelling within Japan and different parts of the globe. Currently, the new app is available in four different languages. According to the company, the navigation app is very helpful for the people who have problems in reading maps and typing locations.

The app can be downloaded from the official website and different app stores. And the service is available for the countries which offer Google Places.

The main functions of the app are:

World Scanner: To use this function, users need to open the camera from their Smartphones and scan words from signs or any printed material for searching different places or destinations.

AR Navigation: AR navigation mode will allow users to find their destinations with the help of markers overlay reality (AR guide). Users will just have to follow the map directions pointed by the marker to reach their destination.

Nearby Places: With this feature, users can utilize Google Places information to find different places near their current location. Users have the option to search from 15 different categories within the specified areas. The app’s categories are bars, cafes, restaurants, train stations, museums, hospitals, shopping, atm, taxi, grocery, electronic shops etc.
