Call of Duty Blackout will giv...Video gaming is one of the most competitive industries that most observers don’t talk about. The last 5 years have seen numerous innovations in gaming technology to give players the most engaging experience. The vastly successful Call of Duty series has produced immersive titles like Modern Warfare and Black Ops series, which have raked in hundreds of millions in sales and cultivated a devoted fan base. It is all set to take on the online Battle Royale arena currently dominated by Fortnite and PUBG (Player Unknown’s Battle Ground). Both of these games have captured the popular imagination of gaming aficionados with their ease and simplicity of gameplay, with each one both boasting hundreds of millions of players and millions of active ones most of the times.
Testers who have played the beta version of the game, which is to be released in October, pointed out several pros and some cons. The game will feature an FPS (first person shooter) gameplay with smooth seamless graphics and rich environment detail. What’s even better is the map, which is the largest one ever compared to any other Call of Duty title and will feature locations that have appeared in previous Black Ops games. To add to the thrill, players can choose from land, sea and air vehicles and will be able to shoot while grappling and heal while on the move, shoot underwater and pick up ammo on the fly.
But what has the testers worried is Call of Duty’s ability to provide regular support after release. The response of users, however, remains to be seen.
