The use of AI technology is increasing in the retail sector as retailers are looking for fast results. A Chinese omnichannel retailer, Suning will unveil its cutting-edge AI-based innovations for retail at the CES 2019 in the US this month.
According to reports, the company’s two new innovations are Biu Robot shopping assistant and Magic Runway. The AR-powered virtual shopping experience, the Magic Runway helps customers to choose and try different attires without the need of any fitting rooms as it operates through motion gestures.
Apart from that, the company’s smart stylist is designed to recognize the age and gender of the customers and provide the right outfit for them.
In this year’s CES, the company will display Biu AI-robot for shopping; it’s an intelligent vending machine. The robot has the capability to move goods for people from place to another by using emotion recognition. The weight recognition technology which is embedded in the robot helps it to determine which products are picked up by customers and allowing the customers to pay through the robot’s QR scan.
The company’s other developments include Biu smart speakers, Magic Mirror and PPTV Quantum dot TV. All these products come under smart home technology. All these products are developed in the Biu OS platform based on intelligent voice control functions and IOT.
