Microsoft’s Surface Earbuds Delayed to Next Year

Microsoft’s Surface Earbuds will not be launched this year as scheduled. The launch has been delayed to Spring 2020 due to some work to be done in order to make them work properly. The Surface Earbuds were unveiled last month at $ 249.99, around Rs 17,700. The Surface Earbuds were unveiled alongside the Surface Laptop 3, Surface Pro 7 and the Surface X. the event is not to be brushed aside as Microsoft would have wanted to its challenger device for the Apple AirPods out in the stores as soon as possible. The Apple AirPods Pro has already been launched and is now available to customers. The delay was reported by Panos Panay, Microsoft’s Chief Product Officer in a tweet. He tweeted, “Product-making is about the relentless pursuit to get all the details right, which takes time…sometimes more than we planned on. To ensure we deliver the best possible experience for you, our fans & customers, Surface Earbuds will now launch worldwide in Spring 2020 #Surface.” The tweet doesn’t specify the reason behind the delay and what the specific issues are with the Surface Earbuds. However, Microsoft would be missing out on all the season end holiday sales with the delay in the release but surely; they have factored in these sales.

The Surface Earbuds have a unique disk like design. The company had endorsed the noise cancellation features and the ability to use the dictation feature with Microsoft’s apps and up to 24 hours of battery life with a charging case.
