Rouyu Technology Unveils the World’s First Flexible Smartphone

Rouyu Technology, the American company has announced the launch of the world’s first flexible smartphone in China.

The new flexible smartphone is a bit costly with a starting price of $ 1300 and it is currently available only in China. Later on, the company will launch it to the other parts of the world.

Dubbed as FlexPai, normally the smartphone looks like a tablet (7.8 inch AMOLED), but when it is folded, the screen size will reduce to 4 inches. Its interface changes from a tablet to a phone once it is folded.

FlexPai is powered by Android 9 Pie along with the company’s own user’s interface called Water OS. During the launch, the company stated that the smartphone will be equipped with a Snapdragon processor (7mm process) with 5G support and new AI platform.

When it comes to the RAM, the foldable smartphone has two different versions, i.e. 6GB and 8GB model. The 6GB model comes with an internal storage of 128GB and the 8GB has an internal storage of eighter 256 GB or 512GB.

The smartphone has a dual camera setup, with a 16MP primary wide-angle sensor paired with a 20MP secondary telephoto sensor; the rear camera can be turned into a selfie camera once FlexPai is folded into a phone shape.

There is no detail about the batter yet, as per reports, the smartphone is powered by the company’s own RO-charging technology (fast charging technology).
