Google has finally launched its long-awaited video calling feature for the             Web. People familiar with the matter reported that now users can use Google Duo on web platforms like Firefox, Chrome and Apple’s Safari.

The new development is a part of the Tech behemoth’s server-side update. The changes will automatically reflect in the user’s accounts. The users who have received the web support for the video calling app will be able to see the new interface.  The users who are yet to have access to web client will see the old duo landing page until they gain access.

The new web version has a menu of recent contacts at the top and all the Google contacts are located on the bottom. The Google Duo web version supports notifications for incoming too.

The report states that the new web version of the video calling app is working fine for the majority of the Chrome users. The users are able to use it via their non-G-suite accounts too. Although Google hasn’t officially announced about the new change, the new web version will be available to all the customers soon.

In relation to the new development, OnePlus, the Chinese Smartphone manufacturers unveiled that it would use Google Duo’s service as a default app. The move by the company will help them to provide a seamless video calling experience to the users across all the new models of OnePlus. The changes will be done this year itself.
