Samsung in a statement confirms bringing back Its Note 7' smartphones

Electronic giant Samsung Electronics recently discloses its plans to bring back the new and revamped versions of the Galaxy Note 7 smartphones that were banned from markets due to fire-prone batteries.

Enduringly scrapped in October, approximately two months from the launch of the near-$900 devices. It was founded in a probe that found there were some manufacturing problems in batteries supplied by two different companies - Samsung SDI Co Ltd and Amperex Technology Ltd. A study from the company and independent researchers says that other then the battery issue, there is no other problems in the Note 7 devices, raising speculation that Samsung will get back some of its losses by selling refurbished Note 7. The company estimated a $5.5 billion profit hit over three quarters from the Note 7's troubles.

The company, who has sold 3.06 million Note 7 to consumers, did not make any announcement regarding recovery of phones. It was in early January when a person familiar with the matter told Reuters in January that it is bearing in mind the possibility of selling renovate versions of the device or reusing some parts from the recalled phones.

"Regarding the Galaxy Note 7 devices as refurbished phones or rental phones, applicability is dependent upon consultations with regulatory authorities and carriers as well as due consideration of local demand," the company narrated in a statement adding the they will also pick the markets and release dates for refurbished Note 7 accordingly.
