Google will discontinue its popular email app-Inbox in the next 15 days, The Times of India reported. The tech giant has confirmed the exact date to stop the services. The Inbox app will be discontinued by the Gmail app on April 2.

The company has already notified the Inbox users about the shutdown and clearly stated that the services will be completely unavailable after 15 days. Apart from that, Google+ will also be shut down on the same day. Previously, the company stated that it will shut down the Inbox services by March but now it has extended the date.

Google also announced some shortcuts to open the Gmail app. In addition, it also stated that it will launch a few new features like the Inbox app feature to Gmail.

Along with the pull out of Inbox and Google+, the company will also remove plugs on its Allo messaging app and URL Shortener this month itself.  All these shut down operations is a part of Google’s Spring Clean-up initiative.

People familiar to the matter said that after rolling out Inbox in 2014, the company learned about making email better and smother, and has included some popular Inbox experiences into Gmail to make the email process much easier and hassle-free for the people.

Looking forward into the future, the company seeks to focus to provide the best of email experience to the world. Therefore, the company has planned to focus exclusively on Gmail and end support for Inbox by Gmail this month itself.
