Google’s Arts and Culture team has collaborated with NASA, CERN, and several famous museums around the world to create “Once Upon a Try”. It is a collection of videos and images dedicated to scientific explorations and human discoveries. The team had also created the art-matching selfie trend last year which went viral.

The project is available both online and on the Google Arts & Culture app on Android and iOS. Once Upon a Try offers more than 200,000 artifacts from around the world to explore them in depth. Some of the famous exhibits from the project are as follows:

  • CaiGuo-Qiang and da Vinci: painting with Gunpowder: A short documentary on the history of gunpowder in China and how it inspired the famous artistCaiGuo-Qiangto use gunpowder in his paintings
  • NASA Virtual Universe:NASA used the concepts of Machine Learning to create Virtual Universe: a catalog for thousands of photos for easy exploration. One can search by keywords like “Cape Canaveral,” “orbit,” “space suit”, “landscaping tips” etc.
  • Big Bang: The story of the beginning of the Universe is displayed in this documentary

The goal is to promote the history of invention and pay respect to the wizards of the world of science. Once Upon a Try is an interactive video and gallery platform which has over 400 amazing exhibits in total.Let's explore!
