Huawei launchesa new 5G communication hardware for Automakers

Huawei Technologies has rolled out the world’s first 5G communication hardware, the company claims. The announcement was made public on Monday. The new launch is exclusively for the automotive industry.

The company in a statement said that its Balong 5000 5G chip-based MH5000 module was introduced in January this year itself. Therefore, the company has made high quality and fast car module based on the chip.

The product was showcased at the auto show in Shanghai, which began last week. The show will till Thursday.

People familiar with the matter stated that the new 5G car module will boost the automotive industry to move ahead towards the 5G era. The statement was made in relation to make the module as a vital communication product for future intelligent car transportation.

The new module will support the company’s ambition to deploy 5G network technology commercially. The company aims to do it in the second half of 2019.

In recent years, the company has been working on technologies for intelligent connected vehicles in China. Apart from that Huawei also signed deals with many cars manufacturers including Changan, Dongfeng, and FAW.

Huawei, which is also considered as the biggest telecom manufacturer across the globe, is aiming to push itself to win the race for next-generation 5G networks. 

But there is an obligation for the company as it has faced scrutiny from Washington which alleges that its equipment could be used for spying. The company denies the allegations.
