Abu Dhabi Media Company gets its first Arabic speaking AI news reader

The first ever Artificial Intelligence news reader fluent in speaking Arabicwill present news on Abu Dhabi Media (ADM) after media agency signed an agreement withSogou Inc., a leader in China’s Internet sectors. The partnership between ADM and Sogou, supported by the UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence will foster the company’s efforts to utilize the latest technologies.

The AI news orator is the first in the world to speak in Arabic (apart from English). Moreover, the AI tech is efficient to interact through facial expression.Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of Artificial Intelligence was presentat ADM’s headquarters to grace thespecial signing ceremony where the announcement of the partnership was made.  The partnership deal was signed by Wang Yanfeng, General Manager of Voice Interaction Technology Centre of Sogou and Dr. Ali Bin Tamim, Director General of ADM.

The AI news anchor will support the company’s effort to offer diverse content for the large audience it has in the UAE.
