Microsoft and Sony to work on Gaming and Cloud Services

Microsoft and Sony has entered into a strategic partnership where both th companies will jointly develop future cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure in order to support their respective gaming and streaming content services. The deal was sealed by an agreement between the two companies.

According to the agreement, both the companies will co-develop future cloud solutions within Microsoft Azure. Both the companies are also committed towards AI and semiconductors.

On Thursday, both the companies said in a statement that the partnership will pave the way for them to deliver more enhanced experience to its customers across the globe, including developing better platforms for content makers.

During the partnership announcement, a person familiar with the matter said that Sony Play station was developed through the integration of technology and creativity. Sony’s goal towards the platform is to change it seamlessly since it delivers a world class entertainment across the world.

Despite of competing with each other in some areas, Microsoft has been an important business partner for Sony from the past many years. The partnership for the development of future cloud solutions will boost the development of interactive content.

Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft said that Sony has always been the best in the entertainment and tech space, and the partnership between the two companies builds on this history of innovation. The partnership brings the power of Azure and Azure AI to Sony to deliver new gaming and entertainment experiences for customers.
