Reports: Nikon to Roll out Flagship Model D6 in 2020

Top notched camera manufacturing company, Nikon, could roll out its flagship DSLR, Nikon D6 in the first quarter of 2020. The reports were revealed by Nikon Rumours.

If the new model truly a replacement for its older version, Nikon D5, as the company is keen to offer new gear for sports photographers associated with the 2020 Olympics. Since Nikon is a Japanese company, it will be an added advantage for the photographers to rip the benefits of the speculated camera.

Coming to the specification of D6, it will be fuelled by a 24MP full-frame sensor, more than the D5 model’s 20.8 MP. The camera is rumored to have the capability of recording 4K video at up to 60fps; slightly higher than D5’s 30fps.

There could be built-in sensor stabilization inside D6 then that would be a surprise for the users. Along with that, the camera could deliver longer manual exposure times of up to two minutes.

Another set of specs revealed by Nikon Rumour says that there will be dual CFExpress/XQD memory card slots in the camera. The viewfinder could have a magnification capability of 0.78x and 100% frame coverage. The camera will have a 3.2 million dot rear LCD display. Users can seamlessness share photos through the Wi-Fi.

Since Nikon D6 could be equipped by the new Expeed dual image processors, the autofocus will be a lot better than its predecessor. There could be silent shooting modes in the camera along with additional 14fps burst speed.
