With the launch of Qualcomm’s new chipset for smartphones - the Snapdragon 855 Plus, Taiwanese smart phone makers, Asus, unveiledthat its new smartphone; ROG Phone II will be powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus.

The new chipset by Qualcomm is the upgraded version of its 855 mobile platform with an overclocked CPU and GPU; designed for ultra-gaming. The cores inside the chipset are all based on ARM Cortex A76. There will be 1 Kryo 485 (speeds upto 2.96GHz) processor followed by 3 Kryo 485 (speeds upto 2.42GHz), and 4 Kryo 385 (speeds upto 1.8GHz).

With a four percent increase of the total CPU speed, the most identical thing about the new chipset is the clock speed that it delivers with CPU running 2.96GHz instead of 2.84 GHz.

The new chipset also features an integrated Snapdragon X24 LTE modem with optional Snapdragon X50 5G modem support. Dual 14-bit Spectra 380 ISP is also supported by the chipset

The new phone by Asus should be good for gaming. The Snapdragon 845 operated on a few phones but the new chipset will be available for every OEMs in the market.

Asus is expected to launch the ROG Phone II on July 23.

Apart from the ROG Phone II, the new platform is expected to be available on other flagship devices as well. With the new launch,game enthusiastwould be happy as the new smartphone is very fast and stylish.
