UnitedMasters Rolls out a New App For iPhone
The Silicon Review
05 July, 2019

UnitedMasters, an American music company, has rolled out its app for iPhone on Friday. The app is similar to the web version; allowing artists to upload and distribute their own tracks to music platforms such as Apple Music, Tidal, Spotify, and more. The file sharing can be carried out from iCloud, Dropbox, or directly from text messages.

UnitedMasters distributes the tracks and also carries out the analytics of the music’s performance.  A 10 percent share from the revenue generated by the distributed tracks is taken by the company, but the ownership of the content is given to the artists who create it.

Different brand partners such as the NBA, Bose, and AT&T help the company to distribute tracks for marketing purposes across the brand’s properties and distributed content. Once, the music creators link their accounts, they are paid out via PayPal. The accounts can also be shared with social media websites; allowing the music creators to connect their overall online presence with their music.

With the new app, apart from the music tracks, artists can also use high-quality cover art to release any music. The artists can also enter the name of the producers involved in the creation of their music, alongside with providing the information about any explicit lyrics presence in the music.
