Altria Group Inc. and Philip Morris International Inc. companies are pursuing the talks to merge by the end of this year. Executives are thinking of a new brand name for the company, as both Philip Morris International Inc. and Altria Group Inc. are tobacco manufacturing companies. 

Both the companies get their revenue from tobacco manufacturing and sales, so the executives are possibly trying to give a brand new name to the company. Since both the names are synonymous with cigarettes, the company is also conducting a public poll to ask their suggestions and reviews. 

The recent survey done suggests that Philip Morris is a highly recognized brand in the U.S., where almost 76% of people recognize the brand. Meanwhile, Altria is recognized by 24% of U.S. citizens. The brand officers and executives are breaking their heads to give their future venture a catchy name so that the products launched will be popular. Aaron Hall, group director in the naming practice at brand-consulting firm Siegel+Gale said “Go find out how several thousand people feel about the brand. In today’s world, people care about the companies behind the products they buy.” 

Both the companies are in the spotlight, the firms are trying to decide a fetching name for its company which is ready to begin in the year 2020.
