Apple Launches New iPad with Pencil Support

Apple Launches New iPad with Pencil Support

The new Apple iPad is finally here! On Tuesday, Apple has launched an all-new entry-level iPad with pencil support at its education-focused event in Chicago, USA. Quite similar to the 2017 model, this new edition has only one major difference that is the new edition is powered by Apple A10 SoC while the older version was running the Apple A9 SoC.

This new iPad comes with a 9.7-inch Retina display with a pixel density of 264ppi. It is also equipped with a 1.2 megapixels HD front camera and 8-megapixel rear camera. The connectivity option that is available for the new device is 4G LTE (for both Wi-Fi and Cellular models), Wi-Fi (dual band), Bluetooth and A-GPS (for both Wi-Fi and cellular models). Additional features include the Touch ID fingerprint sensor on the home button, an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, digital compass and an axis gyroscope. Apart from all these, the new feature called Stylus is all about creating drawings and designs. However, there is no information about the battery and RAM though.

The cost of the new iPad in the USA starts at $299 (for schools) and $329 (other users) while, in India, the 32 GB Wi-Fi model costs Rs.28000 and the 32GB (Wi-Fi + cellular model) is Rs.38,600. And the Apple Pencil will be available separately at Rs. 7,600.

From today, the new iPad is available at stores in more than 25 countries while in India, Russia, Turkey, and Thailand, it will be available from April.
