OnePlus 6 Specs Confirmed in their new Ad

In their latest ad, the Chinese smartphone company OnePlus, gave us a peek into their upcoming smartphone handset. The 4 second video had the taglines “The Speed You Need” and “6et Ready”.

This version of OP6 will have the infamous and the unnecessary “notch”, shamelessly copied from Apple’s iPhone X, albeit it’s a much smaller notch. Unlike iPhone X’s notch that houses a facial recognition sensor, OP6 will have no such feature.

The smartphone will come alive by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with a Ram of 8GB. It will be equipped with the latest version of the Android Operating System, Oreo. It is expected to get the Android P update as soon as it is released

The device is expected to come in three storage options - 64 GB, 128 GB and 256GB. The device will have a dual-lens assembly and it will fashion a 12-megapixel /20-megapixel sensor to produce crisp images.

OnePlus has also confirmed the fact that OnePlus 6 will have the biggest screen it's ever had on a phone ever. This won’t increase the handset's overall size, but will rather result in a 90% screen-to-body ratio.

The device is expected to be priced at around 48,000 INR, which is a lot more than what the original OnePlus One cost.

With the ever increasing cost of OnePlus devices, it would be really interesting to see if OnePlus retains the title of being the true “underdog” in the smartphone market and also if it’s original customer-base will continue to adapt to these huge cost inflations from the company.
