Disney+ originals streaming service tightening its focus, scraps a 'Tron' series

A Disney+ is being picky about the selection of originals and series that reaches its streaming service. A recent report stated that Disney+ developed three originals but did not stream it, including an unannounced Tron series from 12 Years a Slave producer John Ridley. The Disney worked on this show for several months even though it hadn't been officially green-lit. The other two shows were also cut for wildly varying reasons.

The cancellation of these shows reflects the struggle that Disney+ is currently undergoing to find its identity and tighten its focus. The High Fidelity and Love, Simon shows were bumped to Hulu as they are not family-oriented as the company is aiming to stream more of family-friendly series this year. The Simpsons is firmly entrenched on Disney+ despite its violence

It appears difficult for creators to know just where they stand, and Disney's attempt to figure that out may have produced some high-profile casualties. Disney making serious efforts in order to challenge other web streaming sites. It is being very choosy and picky about the scripts of the series and is all set to release family-based, comedy subjects in the future.
