Everybody dreams about owning a smart speaker which helps them to know more about electric cars, about its zero-emission capabilities, and its features. This dream will now become true, thanks to a new app from the UK government-run campaign for low-emission vehicles. The Go Ultra Low app is a joint venture that involves the government and automakers that educate the drivers about the importance and benefits of plug-in hybrid and battery electric vehicles (EVs).

"This app is designed to help the drivers to access the information about EVs and with this app; the UK government says it should increase the uptake of electric cars. The app is voiced by TV star and Go Ultra Low ambassador Ben Fogle, capable of answering more than 50 commonly asked questions about EVs that covers the subjects from EVs cost, information about ev cables and environmental benefits."

The Department for Transport (DfT) stated that the app, dubbed the Electric Vehicles Voice App, "aims to promote and inform. Users can start the app simply by saying, Alexa, open electric vehicles or saying, Okay Google, talk to electric vehicles guide. They can then ask questions, which will be answered by Ben Fogle." Meanwhile, the head of Go Ultra Low, Poppy Welch, said the app was a new way of educating consumers about EVs.
