Cohesity and AWS Extend Partnership to take on data management complexity

Cohesity and AWS extend their partnership with the SaaS platform to take on data management cost and complexity.  Both the companies deliver data management as a Service (DMaaS) along with SaaS in strategic collaboration. AWS not only is the preferred partner for SaaS and DMaaS, but Amazon has made an equity investment in Cohesity.

The comprehensive DMaaS is about backup; it also helps in the backup of mission-critical legacy on-premises environments and workloads. Additionally, DMaaS is about protecting cloud and SaaS apps, which are also mission-critical to organizations or businesses. Other use cases are disaster recovery (DRaaS), file services (files as a service), and test data management as a service. It also helps in file recovery at a more incredible speed.

The Cohesity-AWS collaboration has been in the works for about a year and a half. As part of the team-up, Cohesity, and the AWS Partner Network (APN) invest in resources to design the DMaaS solution on AWS and engage in joint go-to-market activities. The offer targets midsize and enterprise customers. Cohesity manages the new service, which AWS hosts on its cloud.
