Cisco’s latest acquisitions will help the company provide excellent customer experience for Webex users

Cisco’s latest acquisitions will help the company provide excellent customer experience for Webex users
The Silicon Review
10 December, 2020

Cisco, a popular tech giant, has recently spent millions of dollars to acquire two prominent companies, Slido and IMImobile. The latest purchase will focus on boosting customer interactions on the company’s video conferencing platform Webex. Recently the network giant had stated that it had signed a $730 million deal with the UK-based public company IMImobile. The company also revealed its intent to purchase the Slovakian startup Slido. Both the acquired companies are focused on customer interactions, and it must be noted that Slido has almost 7 million participants monthly. The Slido’s platform provides the customers real-time feedback for meeting and events using Q&A, quizzes, and polls.

Cisco didn’t reveal the price of Slido’s purchase. The tech giant is looking forward to combining both the acquired companies and integrate it into the Webex portfolio. Due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic, Cisco had witnessed staggering growth of Webex, and last month alone, almost 600 million active participants had used the company’s services. Cisco wants to use IMImobile to set up what it calls CCaaS. Contact center-as-a-service (CCaaS) is all set to include experience management, AI, omnichannel capabilities, programmability, and collaboration tools to give the enterprises the ability to provide excellent customer experience.
