siliconreview Intel Has Now Announced Its First 5G Modem: Will it grab the Attention of Users?

The technology that can power 2020 iPhones is now announced by Intel. Ahead of its 6 months schedule, the company has launched its Intel XMM 8160 5G modem. Will this be a new innovative breakthrough for the growing demand for iPhones? The product is said to be available in the second quarter of 2019. Intel has designed in such a way that the new 5G modem will support devices that is above 2G.

The Intel XMM 8160 5G modem is now made to optimize 5G connectivity to PCs. This means that many non-available features will now be available and the reason is as follows. The broadband access gateways are one thing to consider along with the rumoured 2020 5G iPhones. Also, many experts believe that this version will be three to six times faster than current LTE modems. This means that it is expected to support around six gigabits per second. This tech will allow smaller and more power-efficient devices to be manufactured. At the same time, it will be aiding in the connectivity of LTE with 5G devices. The modem will also be supporting emerging millimetre wave band of spectrum. Thus wireless devices and other IT related connections will be getting a new boost.
