Q. Why was the company set up? And how did you expand your company and its offerings over the years?
Tommy Swanhaus Co. has been an evolution over the years of knowledge, utilizing the best technique to connect with the consumer, and adaptability of the latest in technology. I would say all of that really began in 2006 when I was 25 years old and sold my first reality TV series to the TLC Network. They bought 12 episodes on the spot, which was unheard of. At that time it was all about creating content that would appeal and reach the masses through what was the most effective way to connect with consumers and that was with the Television. It was all about garnering the biggest audience thru the Television and then advertise to them. While less and less people began to physically tune in to the TV at set times; it was the following year, that I realized the most efficient and effective way to reach or connect with people on the go was to reach them on their mobile device as they always had it on them.
The key to success was understanding people’s consumption habits and how to reach them as we are always on the go; adapting to that philosophy I went on and created what was declared the first success on the mobile platform for a branded series or high-quality content series. The series was for Playboy Enterprises Inc. in partnership with AT&T and it was a non-nudity series targeted at females 18-24 years old. The branded series went on to win MIN’s Integrated Marketing Award for Print/Mobile; Jay Leno talked about it in his opening monologue; it was nominated as a People’s Choice Award for The Streamys or the Oscars of the web, and received high distinctions.
My next evolution was that if I could be successful with one high quality branded series on the mobile platform, what would happen if I started streaming lots of high-quality content to Smart TVs, Computers, iPads, etc., and most importantly I concentrated on streaming to the palm of your hand, meaning your cellphone. I realized from an early age that to reach people you need to be on all devices. We were at the forefront of streaming as a whole and were innovative by using short form high-quality content that aligned with advertisers’ interest and held the attention span of viewers. We had live Q&As with filmmakers on our streaming platform and on Facebook with our own proprietary video player. It was wonderful, we were everywhere our target audience was and where advertisers wanted to be, so one of our niches was understanding how to reach one’s target audience and connect with them. It has been the evolution of these experiences over the years that has brought me to Tommy Swanhaus Co., which was founded this year. While Tommy Swanhaus Co. might be a new name for the company, the person behind that great achievement is the same! The company is just the next step in connectivity for brands, advertisers, and companies to communicate with their target consumer or customer. We have figured how to cut through all the clutter and have one to one communication between a company and its customers or its audience. You could not have a better return on investment than with my company, Tommy Swanhaus Co.
Q. What are the factors that make your company stand out from the competition?
Tommy Swanhaus Co. was setup to focus solely on the mobile phone, mobile platform, and text messaging as the best way for Advertisers and Brands to connect with their consumers/customers/clientele, but most importantly grow their business. While yes, Tommy Swanhaus Co. can create great websites, high-quality content, branded series, manage a company’s social media, launch and run online campaigns or PPC, and be the best of the best for media agencies.
As we have already been highly successful with all of those things, but it is our mobile marketing platform that distinguishes us. Our text message platform that we use complements what brands, restaurants, franchises, large corporations, etc. are already doing in terms of social media, marketing, advertising, but what separates Tommy Swanhaus Co. is that we can actually connect with their consumers or customers and be the thread that ties those things together by having a web link in a text message that drives consumers back to one’s social media, website, branded series, etc. We pride ourselves on actually getting your targeted consumers or clientele to engage, learn about a sale or promotion, watch something, etc. and 99 percent do it within five minutes of launching or sending out a text message. You can’t beat that! All companies should be doing social media, advertising online and offline, so we see Tommy Swanhaus Co. as enhancing and actually getting consumers to pay attention and instantly act on all those other efforts.
Q. “Earning trust and respect of consumers all around the world is through consistent focus on delivering high quality in all of our actions.” How do you interpret this statement?
I could not agree more with that statement. You also have to keep in mind that your years of hard work can be ruined instantly if you lie or cheat your consumers. At the end of the day the most valuable thing that you have is your name and reputation, so make sure not to ruin that. Tommy Swanhaus Co. is more than honored to be shortlisted to be the “Top 10 Most Trustworthy Companies of 2019” by the Enterprise Technology magazine, The CEO Views.
Q. Where do you see your company in a couple of years from now?
In a couple years, I see Tommy Swanhaus Co. having publicly traded companies as clients, along with the fun restaurants/bars, franchises, and lots of Fortune 5000 companies all utilizing our services.

Mr. Swanhaus is hailed as a creative genius in the global entertainment and advertising industry for a reason: He, at the age of 25, created his first TV show and sold it to the TLC Network. He also created a Netflix-like service called The FreeStyle Life, which went from zero market share to being in 110 Countries and 26 different languages in two years.
