Founders Bob and Dan Frauenheim started their careers with IBM and in 1991, established Advantage Systems dba Entre Computer Center. Through their years of experience, Bob and Dan realized that a midsized IT Solutions Provider could react more quickly, tailor solutions for individual companies, provide better service, and lower the deployment cost of companies. The idea was to build a Corporate Reseller which was large enough to provide the solutions and services needed by an organization and at the same time small enough to provide truly personalized service. The idea materialized in 2009 when Bob and Dan, along with colleagues Jack Mellor, Pat Farragher and Matt Walsh, founded Business IT Source.

So BITS offers a product stocking program which is quite unique. Most companies want their systems to arrive totally configured and imaged ready to go, rather than configuring and imaging at its own facility. BITS can configure and ship product directly to the end user location or the service provider or data center so that the product is ready to be deployed.

The most important thing that it does is stock product reserved for customer companies at their warehouse. It serves as an extension of the customer’s warehouse and configuration center so that they don’t have to stock product at their location. The Product Stocking Program ensures the customer’s standard products are always in stock and available to ship the same day as ordered. Another advantage of stocking and staging inventory is, BITS owns the product and the warranty doesn’t start until shipping is requested. This increases the warranty period by not having it start until needed. Companies can work with BITS engineers to collaborate on their configurations and images at their integration center. BITS helps companies to maintain their product image and assists in adopting new platforms and models. The cloud and hybrid solutions and services provided helps in managing the IT workload efficiently. Let’s meet the visionary behind Business IT Source, CEO Bob Frauenheim

Bob began his career at IBM in finance, and later moved to sales. With a keen sense for fathoming business challenges, Bob recognized that customers needed a different level of service from value added solution providers – something more personalized, nimble and flexible. In 1991, Bob and his sibling Dan established their first Value Added Reseller – Entre Computer Center and subsequently Corporate PC Source. In 2009, with a continuing focus on efficiency, product availability, low cost and a high level of personalized service, Bob co-founded the value added solutions provider, Business IT Source. Under Bob’s leadership, BITS was ranked as one of the fastest growing companies by CRN in its rankings on Fast Growth solution providers.

Bob received a degree in business and economics from DePauw University and an MBA from Notre Dame, enjoys most sports, and with his wife Ann, have three teenage children.
